We understand that each purchase is unique, therefore, we offer resizing services handled on a case-to-case basis to ensure that our assistance best suits your resize enquiry.

Resize Process

Should you require a resize for your item, please follow the steps below:

  1. Please email jenine@silvery.co.za regarding your request for a resize. Your subject line must state the order number, your name and Resize, example: SLV123456 Ally Gater Resize.
  2. Images of your item, that is: a clear close-up of the item, must be included in the email so we may efficiently assist you through the resize process.
Resize Conditions

Silvery offers jewellery resizing service on an array of items including rings, bangles, bracelets, necklaces and anklets.

The process includes a courier fee and a resize fee that is quoted to the customer.

The courier is a third-party service provider with whom courier quotes are dependent on the area in which you are situated. Courier quotes cannot be discounted or wavered.

Necklaces & Bracelets / Anklets

Necklaces can be resized under the following conditions:

    • Chain / cord being shortened

We offer other services for necklaces that do not meet resize requirements. These are listed below:

    • Chain Replacements – for chains or cord being lengthened
Rings

Rings can be resized under the following conditions:

    • Rings being resized a maximum of 2 half sizes smaller or bigger only

The following items listed below do not qualify for resizing services and will therefore need to be remade:

    • Rings that need to be more than 2 half sizes smaller or bigger
    • Cut-out rings such as the Name Ring
    • Rings that have stones set in them
Bangles

Bangles can be resized under the following conditions:

    • Bangles being shortened only

We offer other services for bangles that do not meet resize requirements. These are listed below:

    • Remake – for bangles that need to be larger in size.
Not Eligible for Resize

The following items cannot be resized:

    • Cut-out rings such as the Name Ring
    • Key Rings
    • Charms and Pendants
    • Earrings
    • Leather Items
    • Custom-Made Products
    • Items that require additional alterations
Shipping Costs

The courier fees are an external cost provided by our courier partner. These fees are not covered by Silvery Jewellery, may vary per enquiry and are fully payable on the customer’s behalf through EFT only. These fees cannot be discounted or wavered. In the best interest of our customers, we work hard to ensure that we are able to continually provide you with the most affordable courier rate possible.

Resize Time Frame
  • Silvery’s jewellery resizing services are available between January and November yearly. There is no specific timeframe limitation on when your item must be sent back for a resize. Please feel free to contact our Team at any time. Our main goal is to ensure that you are able to confidently adorn your precious jewellery item.
  • Please keep in mind that the time lapse between your purchase date and your return date may affect the process due to upgrades in quality or discontinued items, etcetera. We will assess the enquiry thoroughly and provide you with the best way forward. We will continue to assist you exceptionally through the process.
  • Due to the high volume of orders purchased during the festive season, returns are not processed within this period but rather at the start of the new year.
